Terms of Service.
These terms explain the basics for using Vipera. By downloading, installing, or using the app or this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Vipera.
1. The service
Vipera is an Android security application that provides device scanning, installed-app review, security guidance, and related features. Vipera is designed to support your security decisions; it is not a guarantee that every threat will be detected or blocked.
2. Your responsibilities
- Use Vipera only in compliance with applicable laws and Google Play rules.
- Keep your Android device, operating system, and Vipera installation reasonably up to date.
- Review scan results before deleting or changing files when a result could affect your device.
- Do not reverse engineer, abuse, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to Vipera’s services.
3. Scanning and security limitations
Security software is not perfect. Vipera may miss new, modified, encrypted, inaccessible, or carefully disguised threats. DNS guidance may not block all ads or trackers. Cloud-based checks depend on network availability and third-party providers. You remain responsible for maintaining backups and deciding what action to take.
4. Premium and billing
Some features may require Premium access. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing and are subject to Google Play’s terms, payment rules, renewal rules, cancellation options, and refund policies. Vipera does not receive or store your payment card details.
Promotional access, when available, is governed by the specific offer shown in the app. Promo codes may be changed, suspended, or withdrawn if abused, used fraudulently, or affected by technical problems.
5. Security activity logs
Vipera may record aggregate security activity summaries to operate and support the service. These logs are restricted to the authorized owner account and are automatically deleted after 90 days. They do not include file contents, file paths, file names, or file hashes.
6. Intellectual property
Vipera, its branding, interface, original content, and software are owned by BlankCanvas Software or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose. No ownership is transferred to you.
7. Third-party services
Vipera may rely on Google Play Billing, threat-intelligence providers, DNS providers, hosting providers, and other third-party services. Their availability and terms are controlled by those providers. We are not responsible for third-party outages or policy changes.
8. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Vipera is provided “as is” and “as available,” without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or capable of identifying every security issue. Do not rely on Vipera as your only protection for critical systems or data.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, BlankCanvas Software will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or data-loss damages arising from your use of Vipera. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms when the service changes. The updated version will be posted on this website with a new date. We may suspend or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, legal, operational, or business reasons.
